How do my customers check-in when they arrive?

YOU CAN TEST THE PROGRAM HERE

Customers can view marketing material we provide with instructions. This gives customers options to scan a QR code, visit a URL or SMS a number to start the process.

Customers are then required to enter the phone or email and submit the registration. Each customer that registers is provided with a confirmation screen to show staff.

What about customers without a smart phone?

Other customers within their party can register that patron's details on their behalf. The venue is also provided with instructions on how to do this for such customers.

REGULATION QUESTIONS

What exactly are the regulations?

The regulations are outlined for hospitality venues here. To summarise:

  • Every patron is required to register when they visit your venue for table service.
  • Every member of the party is required to register contact information, table number and time & date of attendance.
  • Venues are required to keep a record of the patron's attendance for up to 28 days at which the record is required to be destroyed.
  • Venues can face up to a fine of $9,913 and customers a fine of up to $1,653 for non-compliance.
  • A maximum of up to 20 patrons are allowed per venue. Social distancing requirements still apply.

Which venues does this apply to?

The regulations apply to hospitality venues including restaurants and cafes that are classified as Class 2 under the Food Act that can offer table service.

What if someone refuses to comply with the regulations?

If a customer at the venue is in breach of the directions issued by the Chief Health Officer or is not cooperating, a business has the right to refuse entry to customers or ask them to leave.
