Facebook now lets everyone see every active Facebook Ad a page is using

Facebook has made a major update recently in its movement towards a more transparent platform. The change now allows any user to any active advertisement a page is running, regardless of whether they’re in the target audience or not.

This change was introduced in Canada in 2017 and was earmarked to be rolled out worldwide. Facebook announced the reasons behind the update:

“Giving people more information about any organization and the ads it’s currently running will mean increased accountability for advertisers, helping to prevent abuse on Facebook.”

“These steps are just the start — we’re always looking for more ways to improve. By shining a bright light on all ads, as well as the Pages that run them, we’ll make it easier to root out abuse – helping to ensure that bad actors are held accountable for the ads they run.”
